The Bug Theatre Presents: Santa Claus Conquers The Martians - LIVE on stage! (teaser)

The Bug Theatre is thrilled to announce a new staged adaptation of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians. Performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 PM from December 6 through 28 at The Bug Theatre, 3654 Navajo Street in Denver. Tickets are $20 in advance online or $25 at the door. 2019 Colorado Independent Women of Film Festival Promo

The Ninth Annual Colorado Independent Women of Film will take place Saturday May 11th, 2019 at The Bug Theatre (3654 Navajo Street, Denver, CO 80211), with screenings at 1:00pm, 3:00pm, 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and a happy hour event at Acova at 5:00pm. Tickets are $10 a block or $20 for a full festival pass, and are available online or at the door. Dear Ted

Dear Ted is a short comedy created for the 100 Hour Film Race 2012. Teams from around the world were challenged to create a short film (5 minutes or less) using a theme (Detachment), a prop (a carrot) and an action (locking something).

Starring Cougar as Ted and featuring Christopher R. Gray, Dear Ted is the story of a man who receives a “Dear John” text message the week before Christmas… and the immediate fallout that follows.

Breach

Logline: A woman is stalked by an unseen force over the course of a sleepless night.

Breach, starring Laura Mayo, is a short psychological horror written & Directed by Eileen Agosta and produced by Twelve Monkeys Dancing Films. The film premiered in January 2012 at the 2012 Festivus Film Festival and screened at the 2012 Colorado Independent Women of Film and as part of The Emerging Filmmaker's Project Tenth Anniversary Extravaganza, and took first place at the May 2014 Open Screen Night.

Reset

Reset is a short romantic comedy produced in 72 hours for the MockSides Ultimate Filmmaker Challenge (mocksides.com). Starring Arthur Martinez, Laura Mayo and Rachael West, the film was completely produced - written, shot, and edited - between 7:00pm Thursday January 27th 2011 and 7:00pm Sunday January 30th 2011. Michael Anthony Garner composed the original soundtrack for the film within the same time frame. This is the original version of the film that was submitted for the challenge - no additional edits or adjustments have been made.

The Armageddon Kitty

Greg Nemer and Rachael West star in The Armageddon Kitty, a quirky short comedy that also features TMDFilms' go-to animal actor Tomo in a story about a guy, a girl, a cat, and the end of the world. The Armageddon Kitty premiered at the 2010 Estes Park Film Festival and screened at the 2010 EFPalooza, the 2011 Festivus Film Festival, the 2011 Indie Spirit Film Festival and the 2011 Colorado Independent Women of Film Festival.

Alone

Alone is a short suspense/horror film shot in Superior, Colorado over a single night in June 2008. Laura Mayo stars as a young woman who can't quite shake the feeling that her apartment isn't as empty as it should be. Laura appears in the film with Tomo, a feisty young cat who has been known to appear in a TMDFilms production from time to time. The film premiered at the 2009 Castle Rock Film Festival and went on to screen at several other venues, including the October 2009 Emerging Filmmaker's Project, "A Night With TMDFilms", the 2010 Festivus Film Festival and the 2010 Kansas City FilmFest.

Schism

Shot in Loveland, Colorado over 3 days in early 2008, Schism is a short suspense/thriller piece about a woman trapped in a world somewhere between reality and psychosis. Different Kinds star Jackie Billotte returned to the TMDFilms set to star in the film, which also features Dawn Bower, Marty Wilhelm and Kitai. The film premiered at "A Night With TMDFilms" at the Mayan Theatre on November 2nd before going on to screen at the November 2009 Emerging Filmmaker's Project, the 2009 Denver Underground Film Festival and the 2010 EFPalooza.

The Burden

Different Kinds star and TMDFilms alum Gina Di Tullio stars in the dramatic short film The Burden, which was shot in July 2008 and premiered at the 2009 Castle Rock Film Festival. The story of a woman's struggle with the decision of whether to help a pregnant teen in need also stars Ashley Henkle (ER Experience, To Die Is Hard) as Gina's daughter, with supporting appearances by Kasha Fauscett (Self Portrait) and Bethany Schatz. The film was also screened at "A Night With TMDFilms" and the 2009 Denver Underground Film Festival, where it received an Honorable Mention for Best Narrative Short Film.

The 8th Inning

The 8th Inning stars Amanda Sides (The Dead Rose) and Lou German (The Devil's Bullets) as father and daughter in a story about the power of dreams and the courage it takes to follow them. Shot in July 2008, the film premiered at "A Night With TMDFilms" at the Mayan Theatre on November 2nd and screened at the 2010 EFPalooza.

Catacomb

Soleil Lean and Rachael West star as sisters in the short drama Catacomb, which also features original music composed by Jenna Santilli and Michael Anthony Garner. A story about the bonds between sisters and how our lives are shaped by love and loss, Catacomb was shot in August 2008 and premiered at "A Night With TMDFilms" the Mayan Theatre on November 2nd 2009.

Different Kinds

Different Kinds is a low-budget feature, shot in Northern Colorado over the summer of 2006 and completed in June 2007. Starring Jackie Billotte (Collegetown), Chris Borden (Vitreous Floaters) and Gina Di Tullio (Camille’s Magic), Different Kinds follows the story of Jared (BORDEN) who, in his desperation to beat Sal (DITULLIO) to Denver and prevent the delivery of an important package, takes Natalie (BILLOTTE) hostage on a cross-country race towards Denver. Jackie Billotte received a best actress nomination for her role in the film from the 2007 B-Movie Film Festival in Syracuse, New York.
